Obituary for Jeffery Keith Phillips

We are heartbroken to share the news that Jeffery Keith Phillips, fondly known as Jeff, passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Johnson City, TN, Jeff was a true son of the Volunteer State, living mostly in Jonesborough, TN.

Jeff was a dedicated electronic technician in the communications industry. He was passionate about his career. Though he pursued college credit, it was his hands-on skills and love for technology that really defined his professional journey. He covered a large area of East TN, Western NC, Southwest VA, and Southeastern KY. Where he was known as "The Radio Man" with Tri Cities Communications where he worked for 44 years.

Jeffery was preceded in death by parents Clarence & Wanda Phillips, Sister Brenda Gray, Brother Larry Phillips.

Family was everything to Jeff. He is survived by his loving wife, Susie Phillips of 47 years, with whom he shared countless cherished memories and adventures. Also survived by two daughters Maggie Berry (Kevin), and Sara Phillips; Three grandsons Jacob, Eli, and Tanner. Special niece and nephew Krista, and Bud. His warm spirit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The Phillips family will receive friends Sunday April 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Morris Baker Funeral Home. A celebration of Jeff's life will follow at 6:00 PM on Sunday. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate the incredible man he was. A graveside service will be held Monday April 14, 2025, at 10 Am at Monte Vista Memorial Park.

Rest easy, Jeff. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved you.
