Jeffrey Allan Scott

Jeffrey Allan Scott, 53, of Jonesborough, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, in Johnson City.


He was born in Miami, Florida, to the late Luke Scott and Judith Schmidt Scott. He had lived in Johnson City for the last eighteen years.


Jeff served his country in the U.S. Army for seventeen years as an airborne combat medic, retiring at the rank of Sgt. First Class.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-mother, Alice Scott, as well as several aunts and uncles.


He is survived by his children, Sean Scott of Jefferson City, Lora Weeks of Kingsport, Aaron Scott of Fort Liberty, NC, Brandon Scott and Cayden Scott of Johnson City; three granddaughters, Avery, Sadie, and Emery; four sisters, Lora Johnson, Tena Keys, Vanessa Kelkar, and Patricia Schneider; as well as several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Gray United Methodist Church, 2108 Oak Street, Gray TN, 37615. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 AM, conducted by Elder Aaron Atchley. Afterward, there will be a committal held at 11:00 AM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Sean Scott, Aaron Scott, Brandon Scott, and Cayden Scott serving as pallbearers. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery gates by 10:50 AM to process to the committal shelter.
