Jennie Lee Baker

Jennie Lee Scott Baker, 70, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Unicoi County Long Term Care Center. Jennie was the daughter of Blaine and Delia Gaddy Scott, and a lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was of the Baptist faith and attended service at Bread of Life Fellowship. Jennie loved being a grandmother and was an amazing caregiver to several people throughout her life. She also enjoyed painting landscapes. In addition to her parents, Jennie is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Marvin Eugene Baker, on January 22, 2014; as well as two sisters, Barbara Cook and Betty Orton. Survivors include: one daughter, Lora Baker; two sons, Marvin Woodrow Baker and his wife, Michelle, and Shane Eugene Baker and his wife, Kristina; two sisters, Joan Baines and Vanessa Dodson; two brothers, Jack Scott and Bill Scott; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family of Jennie Baker will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM with Robert Anderson officiating. A committal will be conducted afterward at 3:00 PM, in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are requested to meet at the graveside by 2:50 PM. Active pallbearers will be: Charles ?Brandon' Burgin, Landon Baker, Logan Baker, Woody Baker, Dustin Baker and Darren Baker. Honorary pallbearer will be: ?Shane' Eugene Baker.
