Jennie Mae Boyer

Jennie Mae Boyer, 96, of Johnson City, passed away Friday June 8, 2007 at the Appalachian Christian Village.She was a native of Kingsport but had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Jennie was a daughter of the late Jack L. and Lillie Friday Boyer. She was also preceded by four brothers, Nathan, Leroy, Lloyd and Raymond Boyer: one sister, Virginia McFadden Hayes. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Johnson City. Survivors include; one sister-in-law, Edna Boyer; four nieces, Geraldine Hicks, Sandra Baxter, Janice Stone and Loraine Bowman; two nephews, Rondal Boyer and Jerry Boyer as well as several great nieces and great nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Burial will follow the service. Rev. R. Willard Warfield and her great nephew, Rev. Richard Hicks, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:15 AM until 10:45 AM Monday. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Central Baptist Library Fund, 300 N. Roan St., Johnson City, TN 37601. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
