Jerry Eugene Bryson, 56, of Bluff City, Tennessee was born December 13, 1952, and passed away December 13, 2008, after a brief illness at James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Jerry, also known as 'Jerome'? to friends and family, lived a life full of laughter and adventure. Over the span of his 56 years, he achieved the titles of business owner, family man, sailor, diver, golfer, fisherman, pilot, horseman, world traveler, motivational speaker, and amateur comedian. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Adrian Harold Bryson, and his mother, Elizabeth Smith Bryson. Jerry is survived by lifelong friend and wife, Kathy Harbin Bryson, two daughters, Jennifer Bryson Price and Heather Kathleen Bryson, two granddaughters, Haley and Hannah Price, a brother, Richard Bryson of Asheville, NC, a sister, Sandra Sneed of Cherokee, NC, a devoted sidekick and Frisbee partner, 'Little Man'?, as well as a multitude of relatives, friends, and admirers. Jerry will be fondly remembered and thoroughly missed. Military graveside honors, for Jerry E. Bryson, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. A military honor guard will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:15 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Monday, December 15, 2008 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City. A time of reflection and sharing memories will begin at 7:30 PM.
