Jerry Morgan Medley

Jerry Morgan Medley, 72, of Johnson City died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Cornerstone Village. He was a native of Huntsville, Alabama, son of the late Morgan and Rosella Isbell Medley. Jerry was a retired college professor at Auburn University of Montgomery, Alabama. He served his country during the Vietnam War by serving in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, his wife, Louise Kirkland Medley, preceded him in death in 2015. Survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and James Kirkpatrick of Johnson City; a brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Marie Medley; two granddaughters, Eloise and Emily Kirkpatrick; a nephew and his wife, Sean and Misty Medley. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 2:30 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. The Boone Dam VFW and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors. A VA Chaplain will preside over the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
