Jessie Rector Oaks

Mrs. Jessie Rector Oaks, 97, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Oaks was a native of Fall Branch. She was the daughter of the late Aulden and Nannie Daugherty Rector. Mrs. Oaks retired from Leon-Fehrenbach after fifty years of service. In addition to her parents, her first husband, William Maynor the father of her two daughters; second husband, George Black; third husband, Gernie Oaks; two brothers, Walter Rector and Paul Rector also preceded her in death. Survivors include: two daughters, Marjorie M. Campbell and her husband Allen and Willie Mae Weems and her fiancé Gene Jackson; one grandchild, Erin Weems; one great grandchild, Skye Collins; one great great grandchild, Leighla Collins; step children, Geraldine Kelly, Gene Oaks and Carolyn Morelock. The family of Mrs. Jessie Rector Oaks will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Dr. Michael Oaks officiating. JC Milhorn and Gil Moody will provide the music. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
