Jessie Tucker, 87, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at her residence.
Jessie was born in North Carolina to the late George Dewey and Nancy Rambo Lewis.
After 20 years, Jessie retired in the 80’s from working in the canteen cafeteria at Mountain Home.
In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by: her husband, James Tucker, in 1996; one daughter, Yvonne Swingle, in 2005; and several brothers.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kristi Harrell and her husband Andy and Nancy Walsh; four grandchildren, Rachel Golla and her husband Christopher, Jodie Strap and her husband Ed, Rick Royston and his wife Stephanie and Holden Harrell; nine great grandchildren; son-in-law, Richard Swingle; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Proffitt and the entire staff of Amedysis Hospice for the care they provided, especially, Laura, Sarah, Joni, Steven and Kay.
A committal service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, December 2, 2019, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Chaplain Steven Spell. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org/donate.
