Jimmy Yates, age 20 of 132 Scott Hill Road, Jonesborough, TN died Thursday, May 10th at St. Marys Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was the son of Regina and James Yates. Born in Johnson City, Mr. Yates was a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was employed as a wallpaper installer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yates was survived by three sisters, Amanda Dunn and her husband Mike of South Carolina, Jessica Grizzle and her husband Don of Knoxville, Annamarie Yates of Johnson City; three aunts, Rebeka Campbell of Johnson City, Nancey Metzger of Memphis, Joan Garvin of Michigan; two uncles, Frank Yates of Memphis, Robert Campbell of Florida and his maternal grandmother Anna Lee Campbell of Jonesborough. Funeral services for Mr. Yates will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Graveside services and burial will also be private. Rev. Josh Grizzle and Rev. Kenny Whaley will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Barnett, Steven Leary, Jimmy Adams, Jordan Hensley, Jamie Story, Brandon Williamson and Justin Holsclaw. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to St Marys Medical Center, 900 East Oak Hill Avenue, Knoxville Tn. 37917.
