Joan Marie Daniel Loy passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN at the age of 52. Originally from Cleveland, TN, Joan had lived the past 30 years in Johnson City. She was a team member of Mountain States Health Alliance for twenty-two years and had worked at Northside Hospital prior to it becoming a part of Mountain States Health Alliance. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ennis Neil and Agnes Clements Daniel of Cleveland, TN. Joans survivors include her husband, Tim Loy; brother & sister-in-law Dennis & Misty Daniel of Charleston, TN; nephews Aaron Daniel & wife Tawnya of Cleveland, TN and Brian Daniel of Panama; great niece Claire Daniel of Cleveland, TN; father & mother-in-law Charles 'Jake'? and Katherine Ray Loy of Knoxville; special family friend Liza Graves of Knoxville; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joan loved animals and lovingly cared for her two 'children'?, Jake & Festus. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Morris Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City, Tennessee with a service honoring and celebrating Joans life to follow at 7 p.m. Tim Hall, Minister will officiate. The graveside committal service will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, TN. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m. Thursday. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the physicians who cared for Joan over the past year, the staff on 4500 at Johnson City Medical Center who lovingly cared for Joan, the management and team members of Holston Valley Broadcasting Corporation, and the many other friends who have helped Joan and Tim throughout the past year. Your kindness, support, and love will never be forgotten. Memorial Donations in Joans honor may be made to your local Animal Shelter or the charity of your choice.
