Joan Marie Sinn

Joan Marie Carroll Sinn went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at her home.

She was born on October 10, 1941, in Sharon, Connecticut, and raised in Amenia, New York. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Arrietta Carroll. She moved to Tennessee in 1997 with her late husband, Donald Sinn.

Joan was a homemaker and retired registered nurse. She was past president and honorary lifetime member of the Hudson Valley Ski Club, as well as an ASIA Instructor and member of the East Tennessee Mogul Mashers ski club.

She was a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church and active in the Alice Lee Barnes Circle. She was also a member of the St. Francis Hospital Alumni Association, Johnson City Sail & Power Squadron, and Boone Lake Association.

Surviving are Joan’s children, Mark Losito of Piney Flats, Anthony Losito of Lagrangeville, NY, Craig Sinn and wife Michele of Wappingers Falls, NY, Elaina Heredia and fiancé Brian of Osteen, FL; grandchildren, Alexander Sinn and Matthew n; siblings, Jeremiah Carroll and wife Sally, Linda Roberts and husband David; and several nieces, nephews, grand & great nieces and nephews.

Join us to celebrate the life of a devoted wife, loving mother, Oma, and a kind friend to all that knew her. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Wheeler United Methodist Church in Blountville. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM under the direction of Dr. Tony Collins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s honor to a charity of your choice.
