Jo-Ann Smith Hamilton

Mrs. Jo-Ann S. Hamilton, 74, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 in the Princeton Transitional Care, Johnson City. Mrs. Hamilton was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Dane and Carrie Lee Smith. In addition to her parents one sister, Polly Sue Smith also preceded her in death. Mrs. Hamilton retired from the Department of Human Services. She was a member of The Answer Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband of forty-five years, Carl Hamilton; one daughter, Carla Winebarger and her husband Paul of Johnson City; two sisters, Joyce Stout and Carolyn Bowman both of Johnson City; one grandson, Parker Hamilton Winebarger whom she loved very much. The funeral service for Mrs. Jo-Ann S. Hamilton will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Dr. Jerry Mullendore will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM prior to the service. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 11:30 AM Wednesday to go in procession.
