Joanne Lilley Scott, 71, of Johnson City, died Tuesday evening, February 20, 2007 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Beverly, MA , living most of her life since the age of 16 in TN. She was a daughter late Archibald Marshall and Laura Marshall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Lynn Lilly and her former husband, Edward Scott, in 1995. one brother, Archie Marshall in 1977 and two grandchildren, Randi Lilly in 1981 and Elijah Mullins in 2005. Joanne attended River of Life Church. She enjoyed Gospel music and loved cooking for her family and friends. Her children and her grandchildren were her joy in life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Joanne leaves behind three sons, Douglas Lilly and his wife Phyllis, Randy Lilly and his wife, Robin and Archie Lilly and his wife, Tamara; three daughters, Cheryl Humphrey and her husband Donnie, Donna Cody and her husband Tony and Melissa Cable; four step-daughters, Terry Coppage, Trina Youngbar, Sherry Hall and Jamie Dickson; two sisters, Rena Burckhardt and Doris Kuhn; twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also a special sister-in-law, Charlotte Thomason, and Uncle, Ralph and Aunt Nadine Bagley. The family will receive friends at the Morris Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2007 with services beginning at 8:00 PM. Pastor Donnie Humphrey will officiate. Burial services will be conducted from the Monte Vista Burial Park at 10:00 Friday, February 23rd. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home and proceed to the cemetery at 9:45 AM Friday. Active pallbearers will be Danny Frances, Ronnie Tallman, Max Harper, John Stalcup, John Lilly and Bill Silvers. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Woods, Randy Bennett, Jerry Brewer and Sammy.
