Joel Keith Bishop

Joel Keith Bishop, Sr., 58, of Telford died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Robert Sylvester and Iva Jean Hodge Bishop. Joel was a plant manager in the rock quarry industry. He was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Joel K. Bishop, Jr. and Angie of Limestone; a daughter Betty J. Stout of Gray; three brothers, Ronnie Bishop of Johnson City, Mike Bishop of Limestone Cove and Benny Bishop of Johnson City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna and Mike Lusk of Jonesborough, Martha and Bob McClure of Johnson City; eight grandchildren, Anna, Madison, Desiree, Brooke, Coty, Stephen, Carrigan and Colby; special friend and love of his life, Linda Kirk; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Rev. Mike Lusk. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 8:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home and leave in procession at 11:40 a.m.
