John “Andrew” Moore, 57, of Johnson City died Friday, November 8, 2019 at his residence. He was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, son of John A. and the late Peggy Paynter Moore.
Andrew was a painter using mostly acrylic and watercolors. His works are displayed in galleries from Johnson City to Nashville. He has done work in several local eateries such as Café 111 and Bella Vita.
Andrew was a semi professional drummer and had been a member of Plane Jane Has a Date. He was also a voracious reader.
Survivors include; his father John A. Moore and brother, Roger Moore both of Johnson City; several aunts, uncles and cousins; many many friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Dogwood Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm under the direction of Rev. Mike Richards. A committal service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
