John Aulden Hughes

John Aulden Hughes, 81, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the Johnson City Medical Center. John was a Johnson City native and was the son of the late Ernest and Elsie Haynes Hughes. He retired from Wylie Theaters, and was previously a pipefitter and member of Local 538. John was of Presbyterian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two sisters, Ernestine McCracken and Janis Scott; and two nephews, Jimmy Lane and Chris Fowler. Survivors include: his wife, Helen Garland Hughes, of the home; three daughters, Dawn Hughes, Wendy Hughes, and Paige Franklin, all of Johnson City; one granddaughter, Madison Franklin; and one sister, Phyllis Pass, of Johnson City. A private service will be held at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
