John Hyatt, 86, of Johnson City died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Washington County, son of the late Lawrence and Grace Hyatt. John was a retired employee of the Johnson City Water Department. He was a member of the Hawthorne Church of the Brethern. John loved his family and will be greatly missed by all of them and his many friends. In addition to his parents, his wife Barbara Hyatt; two sons, Johnny Ray and Tony Hyatt; three grandchildren, Johnny Ray Hyatt, Jr., James Willard Laws, II and Billy Gene Stout; two sisters and three brothers had preceded him in death. Survivors include: his two daughters, Angela Hyatt and Robin Mabe; a son, Charles W. Hyatt; a brother, Jack Hyatt; two sisters, Mary Ruth Tester and Peggy Tester; twelve grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family is going to receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:30 pm. Then go to Roselawn Memory Gardens for a graveside service at 3:00 pm, under the direction of Pastor Danny Maness. Active pallbearers will be: Donnie, Michael and Johnny Stout, John, Chris, Jackie and Richard Hyatt. Friends may call at other times at the home of his daughter Angela at, 1500 Belle Ridge Road #22, Johnson City, TN.
