John V. Quigley, 75, of Johnson City, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at his home. John was born in Washington D.C. to the late Hazel Alice Hunt and Venantius H. Quigley. He achieved his PhD from Georgia State University, and then went on to teach. He spent 30 years as an instructor at the College of Business at ETSU, earning a Lifetime Achievement award. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Greer; children, John V. Quigley Jr. and his wife Katie, Mark Quigley and his wife Amy, Emily McMurray and her husband Kevin LaFreniere, David McMurray and his wife Lindsey White, Sarah McMurray, and Jason Greer; sister, Margaret Hicke; twelve grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way. The family of John V. Quigley will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A private ceremony to scatter his remains will be held by the family afterward. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter, 3411 N Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37601.
