Johnny Dale Elliott, age 67, of Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Johnny was born on October 31, 1951 to Frank Elliott Jr and Leona Braswell Elliott in Washington County, Tennessee. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy. He also worked for TVA and the United States Post Office. Upon retirement, Johnny had served 32 years in government services. Johnny enjoyed attending ball games at the local schools in East Tennessee.
Johnny and his wife, Barbara, are members of Zion Baptist Church and are attending services at First Freewill Baptist Church in Elizabethton.
In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by sister, Lynn Presnell; daughter, Becky; and grandson, Eric.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara; daughter, Shae (and husband, Josh) Dunnavant; son, Jeremy (and wife, Mary) Elliott; grandchildren, Gabriel, Carter Rose, Melissa, Christina, Sadie, and Ben; brothers, Danny Elliott and Jackie Elliott; sister, Sherry Harmon; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Washington County Memory Gardens, under the direction of Pastor Nathan Jennings. Please meet at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m.
