Johnny William Brummitt

Johnson City,-Johnny W. Brummitt, 73, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was an active member of Green Pine Baptist Church for many years as a Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Teacher, Van Driver, and very active in the Lord, his family and mission work. He and his wife Lovella owned Brummitts Upholstery. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Columbus and Texie Ann Street Brumit; brother Ronald Brumit; and two sisters Lucille Blankenship and Paulette Pettigill. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lovella Waldrop Brummitt of the home; two brothers Jimmie Brumit and wife Bonnie of Jonesborough and Bobbie Ray Brummitt of Buladean, NC; sister Verrecia Ann Brumit of Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: William Cross, Robert Leonard, Danny Adams, Bobby Sheets, Gary Brumit, and Adam Brumit. Honorary Pallbearers: The men of the church The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 6-8pm at Morris Baker Funeral Home with the service following at 8pm in the South Chapel with Pastor Bert J. Dikes officiating. The committal service will be Wednesday, 11am at Rose Lawn Memorial Garden.
