It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph "Joe" Garnett, age 77, on January 3, 2025. A loving father, proud veteran, and hard-working man, he touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Joe was a man of resilience and quiet strength. He was proud to call himself a veteran and carried that honor with him throughout his life.
He was a jack-of-all-trades, excelling in various professions over the years. From his precise work as a millwright to the creativity he poured into painting and landscaping, Joe brought dedication and craftsmanship to everything he did.
More than his work, Joe will be remembered for his deep love for his family. A devoted father to his three children, he taught them the value of hard work, kindness, and standing tall in the face of life's challenges.
His legacy will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Joe had a passion for hunting, fishing, and coin collecting. His sense of humor and warm presence made him a beloved friend to many, and his strength was a source of comfort to his family.
He is survived by his children, Scott Garnett, Douglas Garnett, and Janel Trent; his grandchildren, Noah and Mackenzie Trent; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is now reunited with his wife, Sherry, and his son, Joseph Jr.
Though he may no longer be with us, Joe leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. As he always said, "If I don't see you again, I'll see you on the other side." Until that day, we carry his love in our hearts and find comfort in knowing we will be reunited once more.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Friends and family will meet at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, January 13, at Mountain Home National Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service.
