Joseph Michael Nicosia, 69, of Johnson City, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
He was born on June 4, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Joseph James Nicosia and Dorothy Cook Nicosia. He served his country in the United States Army.
Joseph worked in kitchen prep and production at Red Lobster for 35 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, who were everything to him. Their best memories were made traveling, especially on the many trips the family took to Disney World.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Roseanne.
Those surviving include: his wife of 44 years, Sara McMahan Nicosia; children, Christopher Nicosia and Kristina Le-A Campbell; sister, Robin Nozick; and grandchildren, Sara Campbell, Joseph Nicosia, and Joshua Nicosia.
The family of Joseph Michael Nicosia invites friends and family to gather at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home to pay respects and share memories. Afterward, a committal service will be held at 3:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors rendered. Please gather at the cemetery gate by 2:50 PM to go in procession to the committal shelter.
