Josephine Russell Good

Josephine Russell Walker Good, 86, of Gray, died Monday, January 16, 2012 . She was born in Greeneville, TN and moved to Johnson City with her family as a very young child. She graduated from Science Hill High School and began a career in the clothing industry with Steinway Manufacturing. She retired from Levi Strauss as a Regional Quality Control Manager. She was a lifelong Presbyterian and was a charter member of Midway Presbyterian Church. Her favorite pastimes included working with her flowers and vegetable garden and bird-watching. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Karl H. Good; parents Joseph and Wilma Walker; brothers Daniel and Joe Walker;and sister, Georgia Coulter. She is survived by her children; Wilma Rowe Winslow of Columbia, SC, Steve Good and wife Rebekah of Chapin, SC and Charles Good and wife Sharon of Jonesborough, TN; Grandchildren Ricky Rowe (Kristie), Matthew Good, David Good (Anna) and Sarah Good Baldwin (Heath), all of South Carolina; John Good (Sarah) and Karl Good (Melissa) both of Kingsport, TN ; Great Grandchildren Wyatt, Hayden and Ellis Rowe,Andrew and Caroline Good ( all of Columbia, SC) ; Kellan and Lleyton Good and Logan Good all of Kingsport, TN. She is also survived by her brothers Grady Walker (Betty) and Carl Walker (Sheila) both of Johnson City; and a number of nephews,nieces and cousins. There will be a family graveside service at Monte Vista Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Grandsons; Ricky Rowe, Matthew Good, David Good, John Good and Karl Good and family friend, Andy Fitzgerald. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in memory of Josephine Good and in honor of Kellan Good.
