Joyce Campbell Godsey Gentry, 86, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Cedarcrest Care Center, Broken Arrow, OK. She was born in Johnson City, TN, the daughter of the late Lloyd E. and Mabel Blankenship Campbell, and resided in Johnson City many years. Mrs. Gentry was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. She was employed as an office manager many years for Godsey Electric, American Rent-Alls, and Hamilton Meats before retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William 'Red'? Godsey in 1976, husband Clarence 'C. L.'? Gentry, in 2012, and daughter, Sherrie Gentry Grace. Mrs. Gentry is survived by a son, Randy Godsey and his wife, Pat, Johnson City, TN; a daughter, Wendy Hutchins and husband, Eddie, Broken Arrow, OK; a daughter, Lori Ledford, Johnson City, TN; and a son, Kevin Gentry and wife, Andea, Johnson City, TN; eleven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. The family of Joyce Gentry will receive friends from 10 to 11 am, Friday, November 14, 2014, at Morris-Baker. The memorial service will be conducted at 11 am Friday, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Interment will be at Monte Vista Memorial Park immediately following the service. The family would like to thank the staff and support personnel of Appalachian Christian Village, Johnson City, where Mrs. Gentry resided for several years, as well as Cedarcrest Care Center, Broken Arrow, where she resided the last 6 months of her life. They would also like to thank Hometown Hospice, Broken Arrow, for their support and dedication during this time. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
