Joyce Miller Depew

Joyce Miller DePew, 74, formerly of 605 Carter Sells Road, Johnson City, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Lakebridge Nursing Home. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Clyde and Trula K. Murr Miller. Joyce was a communications specialist running the communications for East Tennessee State University for many years. She attended the Princeton Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, her husband Bill DePew in 1977; also two brothers preceded her in death. Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger L. and Joan DePew of Cookeville, Michael Jeffrey and Melody DePew of Celina and Bill P. DePew of Fort Myers, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Dawn and James 'Eddie'? Perkins of Johnson City; a sister, Iva June Davis-Fogle of Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren, Christopher, Adam and Joshuah DePew and Heather Kreischer; four great grandchildren, Benjamin DePew, Landen and Arianna Kreischer and Katelyn DePew; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Randy English and Rev. Charlie Frazier. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at seven. A committal service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Happy Valley Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to leave in procession. Active pallbearers will be: Adam, Chris and David DePew, Kent and Kevin Miller and James Eddie Perkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshuah DePew and all other nephews and Rick Norris.
