Juanita Gardner Dalton, 84, of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Bakersville, North Carolina, daughter of the late John and Darlie Whitson Gardner. Juanita had a contagious laugh and a beautiful smile. She enjoyed reminiscing, laughter, and cooking for her family?especially ?Chicken on the Bone'. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Orie Arthur Dalton Jr.; sister, Nora Suitt; brother, JC Gardner; and sons, Ricky Lynn Dalton and Kirby Wayne Dalton. Survivors include: her daughter, Bobbie Jo Fling and her husband Lee Anthony Fling; Daughter-in-law, Robin Dalton; brothers, Homer, Wade, Roger, and Kenny Gardner; sisters, Louise Myers, Joann Keller, Betty Moxley and Patsy Street; grandchildren, Caylee and Cody Fling, Weston, Randi, Casey, Chelsey and Dustin Dalton; great grandchild, Karsyn Gentile; special niece, Judy Williams, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved as her own. A committal service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Greg David. Pallbearers will be selected from those she loved.
