Jude Adolphe Gremillion, 77, of 751 Old Gray Station Road, Gray, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Moreauville, Louisiana, son of the late Joseph Whitney and Isabelle Delephine Gremillion. Jude was a retired Tech Sergeant, having served in the U. S. Air Force for twenty years and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. He later retired from Alcatel in Gray. Jude was a member of the Trinity Baptist church and had also attended the Greenvale Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by all five of his brothers and a sister. Survivors include: his wife, Kathlene Stroud Gremillion of the home; two daughters, Phyllis Gremillion of Independence, MO and Teresa Annette Shankle of Jonesborough; three sons, Michael Gremillion of Kansas City, Kansas, Dennis Jude Gremillion of Independence, Missouri, Joey Gremillion of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Amanda Ducote of Evergreen, Louisiana and Jeanette Gremillion of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; several nieces and nephews.A funeral service is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Roy Yelton. The family will receive friends from 11:45 p.m. until time of service at 12:45 p.m. Special music will be provided by Paul and Reva Mannis. A committal service will be conducted in the Mountain Home National Cemetery following the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by the Boone Dam VFW and the Tennessee National Guard. Active pallbearers will be: Cecil Batchelor, Zeke Jones and the men of the Greenvale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of contributions to: Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.
