Donna Judy Street Hodges age 74, passed away at her residence on November 1, 2019, surrounded by family.
She was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Cecil and Edith Street, step-daughter of Ruby Jane McCourry Street. She was a 1968 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and retired as the Director of Pharmacy at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
She was a member and Sunday school teacher at East Unaka Avenue Baptist Church. She also attended Christ Fellowship Church as her health allowed.
Judy is survived by her husband, Larry; sons,Thomas David and wife Heidi, of Knoxville, Andy Dean and wife Sara, of Johnson City; grandchildren, Ashlee, Marshall, Caroline and Andrew, of Knoxville, Garrett and Carter Dean of Johnson City; brothers, Ronnie Street, Telford, Dick Street and wife Ann of Houston, TX, stepbrother Larry McCourry and wife Sharon, of Clifton, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4, 2019, at Morris-Baker Fuenral Home from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held immediately following. Pastor Dick Morris of Boones Creek Christian Church will officiate. Music will be provided by Judy McConnell. Internment will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys hospice care staff, including Ashley Elledge, Trisha Tilson, Laura Comoeaux, Laura Evans and special caregiver Janice Tester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Alzheimer’s Tennessee 2319 Browns Mill Road Suite D6 Johnson City, TN 37604.
