Jung Hsu, 91, passed away on August 25, 2010 at the Christian Care Center of Johnson City following a lengthy illness. She graduated from National College of Pharmacy in China. She worked at Lutheran Deaconess Hospital in Chicago, Illinois for three years. She and her family lived in Chicago and Evanston, IL before coming to Johnson City in 1965. Jung was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting and ceramics. She was a member of the Chinese Christian Church of the Greater Tri-Cities. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Dr. Harry Hsu; a daughter, Kara May of Loudon, TN; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David Hsu and Becky of Alexandria, VA; a grandson, Dr. Andro Hsu and his wife, Morgan of San Francisco, CA; two brothers in China; three nephews and one niece. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. under the direction of Pastor Gerald Chin. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the North Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to: the Alzheimers Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871 or to the Chinese Christian Church of the Greater Tri-Cities, 300 North Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
