Karen Kay Kitzmiller Brandon, 70, of Johnson City, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at her residence. She was a native of Berwick, PA, daughter of the late Aaron and Evelyn May Cope Kitzmiller.
Karen was a retired housekeeper for the Johnson City Medical Center. She loved her family and being in her home spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, her husband Gary Dean Brandon preceded her in death in July of 2019; also a niece, Roseanna Kitzmiller preceded her.
Survivors include: five children, David and Amanda Matzner , Jerry Brandon, James and Rebecca Brandon, Dereck Brandon and Deanna Brandon; two brothers, Dennis and Ronnie Kitzmiller; five sisters, Evelyn Kitzmiller, Deborah Watts, Mary Ellen Hetrick, Marie Bernal, Tanya Garlock; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Mountain Home National Cemetery Annex, under the direction of Rev. Mike Richards. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
Memorials may be made to the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter, 3411 N. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
