Katherine Jeanette Hensley

Katherine Jeanette Hensley, 75, of NHC Healthcare, Johnson City, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Weldon and Mary Jones Hodges. Katherine was a retired homemaker. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Elizabethton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Millard Clark, two brothers, Jr. Guess and Charles Hodges and a sister, Roxie Porter.Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, William G. Hensley of Johnson City; two daughters, Lesa Cox of Cedar Park, Texas, Debbie Godsey Woltering of Kenner, Louisiana; a son, William G. Hensley, II of Johnson City; three sisters, Brenda Cretsinger of Johnson City, Irene Griffin of Piney Flats and Ruth Salmons of Danville, Virginia; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009 in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Dale Greenwell. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family members and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am Monday and proceed to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Mike McCloud, George Shrader, David Grindstaff, Bryan Shell, Charlie Tiller, Jerry Dykes and Mike Williams.
