Katherine Pearl White

Mrs. Katherine Pearl White, 80, 2514 Park Avenue, Johnson City died Friday May 29, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. White was a native of Knoxville who had lived in Johnson City for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William P. and Gertrude Smith Privette. In addition to her parents two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Mrs. White retired from Art Craft Glove Company in 1975. She was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church. Survivors include: her husband of forty-five years, Jack White of the home; two brothers, Doane Privette of Houston, Texas and William S. Privette and his wife Geraldine of Johnson City; one nephew, W.A. Greene of Johnson City. The funeral service for Mrs. Katherine Pearl White will be conducted at 2 PM Monday June 1, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Edward Davis will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Harvey Carver, Steven Carver, J.D. Reed, Carl Reed, Eddie Clifton and Randy Bennett. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 1 to 2 PM Monday prior to the service.
