Kathryn B. Osborne

April 26, 1921 — October 2, 2006

Kathryn B. Osborne, 85, 2802 W. Walnut Street, died, Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Osborne was a native of Comers Rock, VA and had lived in Johnson City since 1950. She was a daughter of the late Birket F. Taylor, Sr. and Ruth Sutherland Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Cornett and three brothers, Fred, Roy and Rolfe Taylor. Mrs. Osborne was retired from the Washington County School System. She was Methodist. Survivors include her husband, Jack Osborne; two daughters, Janie Hyder and her husband, Mike, Johnson City; Kathy O. Simounet and her husband, Tim, Johnson City; two sisters, Mary Harrington, Elk Creek, VA and Stell Rhudy, Independence, VA; two brothers, B.F. Taylor, Jr., Independence, VA and Dale Taylor, Roanoke, VA; one granddaughter, Amanda Hyder, Johnson City; one grandson, Taylor Simounet, Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Osborne will be held at 7 PM Thursday, October 5, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Tim Bowers will officiate. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 6, 2006 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 PM and travel in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimers Disease Foundation, Northeast TN Chapter, 207 N. Boone Street, Suite 1050, Johnson City, TN 37604.
