Mr. Kelly Anderson Harmon, 89, of Johnson City, died Monday, October 19, 2015 in the Christian Care Center of Johnson City. Mr. Harmon was a native of Detroit, MI. He was a son of the late James and Hazel Phipps Harmon. He worked as an electrician and was a member of IBEW Local 934. Kelly loved fishing and working with his tools. He also enjoyed watching UT football and NASCAR. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for 50 years and formerly served as treasurer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Harmon, and step brother, Junior Brown. Survivors include: two sons, Anthony Harmon and his wife Linda, of Jonesborough, and Danny Harmon and his wife Lori, of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Marlene Scott and her husband Glenn, of Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, Casey, Ashley, Gabriella, Analeia, Kelly, Jason, and Sherry Barnett; and six great grandchildren, Brit and Joshua Barnett, Ryan, Jackson, Savannah, and Kaligh. The family of Mr. Kelly Harmon will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8 pm Thursday under the direction of Chaplain Dwight MacPherson. A graveside service is scheduled for 1 pm Friday, October 23, 2015 in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 12:30 pm Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Anthony Harmon, Terry Brown, Ashley Harmon, Danny Harmon, Glenn Scott, and Mike Conley.
