Kevin Pryor

John Kevin Pryor, age 47, of Johnson City, passed away in his sleep on Saturday morning, March 5, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Pryor was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, and was the only son of Lockey Pryor and the late Amos Pryor. He was a member of East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church of Johnson City, TN. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Amos Pryor on March 15, 2005, his grandparents, Rev. W.L. Bryant and Annie Bryant, Joe and Ora Pryor, Uncle Ed Pryor, Boxie Storey, Charles Malonee, Henry Triplett, and several cousins. Special friends, Bob and Linda Weaver and Joyce Denny. He is survived by his mother, Lockey Pryor; aunts, Hazel Triplett, Edna Bryant, Dorothy Storey and Dorothy Malonee; cousins, Beth Bradford and Kathy Hobson. Kevin was a kind and loving man whose heart was 'Too Big'? for his own good. His primary goal in life was to help somebody '? anybody '? in their time of need. Everybody who knew Kevin knew that he possessed that trait. He had a multitude of friends. He loved everybody '? and everybody love him. Just to know him was to love him and to be loved by him. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:30 pm with Pastor Lon Tobin officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2011, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Wayne Bradford, Roy Merritt, Will Hobson, Jeremy Hobson, Billy Shutts, Bobby Harrell, Bill Todd, Jim Yelton and Danny Curtis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike McKinney, Mike Lukianoff, Johnny Daniels, Bob Weaver, Dr. Robert Hughes, Dr. Gordon Coeburn, Farrell Cloyd. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 am Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O.
