Kim Stinson

November 4, 1961 — April 22, 2009

Kim Stinson, 47, 111 Stinson Road, Johnson City, passed away, Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. Kim was a daughter of the late Samuel Stinson and Vestene Whitehead Stinson, Johnson City. One brother, Sammy Stinson, preceded her in death. Kim was a member of Berea Free Will Baptist Church and had her on Card Ministry, serving church members, family and friends for many years. In addition to her mother, she leaves one brother, Benny Stinson and his wife Sheila, Johnson City, one sister, Susan Taylor and her husband, Jeff, Johnson City, two aunts, Mittie Huffine and Mary Ruth McKee; two nieces, three nephews, five great nieces, one great nephew, one great great niece and several special friends. A funeral service for Kim will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, April 24, 2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Jerry Stout and Reverend D.C. Byrd will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Saturday at Barnett Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Glynn Stinson, Travis Taylor, Kevin Stinson, Dewayne Sutherland, Derek Sutherland and Robbie Tester. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Berea Free Will Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2415 Sinking Creek Road, Johnson City, TN 37604.
