Larry Gene 'Bobsled'? Bunton, 59 of 210 Bunton Road, Johnson City, TN died Wednesday evening, September 3, 2008 in Johnson City from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Larry was a son of the late Charles A. Bunton, Sr. and Nannie Mae Perkey Bunton of Johnson City. He was a retired insulator installer. Larry was a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers # 46 for thirty six years. Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, watching his son fish, and camping while enjoying his retirement. We know that you are no longer here in the way we would like for you to be, but we know you are with us every moment of every day. We just have to speak your name and youre there to hear our joys, sorrows, and accomplishments. We know that God will keep you safe in his house until the day its our turn to come, and we will be together again riding our bikes, and horses in the puffy clouds of heaven. Until we meet again, we love you. Survivors other then his mother include: one son, Lonnie Gene Bunton of Johnson City; one daughter, Rose Mary Ruth Marang of Dublin, Ohio; one brother, Charles A. Bunton, Jr of Johnson City; two sisters, Barbara Ann Woodfin of Johnson City and Betty Hurt of Seiling, OK; several aunts, uncle, nieces,nephews and cousins also survive. A memorial service for Larry Gene 'Bobsled'? Bunton will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday, September 7, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Tony Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 2 to 3 PM Sunday, prior to the service.
