Laura Lee Barham

Laura Lee Barham, 94, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at Christian Care Center of Johnson City. Mrs. Barham was a native of Amherst County, VA and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Roy and Irene Branham Johns and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Franklin Barham; one brother, Luke Johns and one sister, Carrie Williams. Mrs. Barham was a member of the Widows Club and the Johnson City Senior Citizens. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Dr. Frank L Barham, Pennington, NJ; two daughters, Nanci Bolus and her husband, John, Johnson City and Wanda Sue Fannon and her husband, Ron, Elizabethton; one brother, Gary L. Jones, Johnson City; four grandchildren, Brent Fannon, Wendy Fannon, Laura Fields and Todd Fields; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Barham will be conducted at 6:30 pm Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Michael Bolus and Reverend Ray McDougle will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 am and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Dr. Steven Lloyd will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 6:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 120 Chilhowie Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
