Lawrence Edward Timer Ford

Lawrence Edward ?Timer' Ford, 91, Johnson City, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Veteran?s Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Ford was born in Washington County to the late James A. and Lula Lilley Ford. Mr. Ford was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Sperry/Univac as a machinist. ?Timer', as many people knew him, was an avid Harley-Davidson rider, that loved the road and his special Harley family. Mr. Ford was a member of Princeton Presbyterian Church, and later attended Piney Flats United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ford was preceded in death by: his wife of 67 years, Cleo Rowe Ford; two brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include: two daughters, Carolyn Longwater and her husband Lee, and Angela Minor and her husband Fred; two grandchildren, David Longwater and his wife Lidia, and Manda Minor; two great grandchildren, Aurelia Longwater and Callie Longwater; one special nephew, Ronald Widner; several other nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Bella; and many special friends and neighbors close to his heart. The family of Mr. Ford will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, February 20, 2017 at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Scott Brady officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:45 AM Tuesday to go in procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park for 11:00 AM graveside services. Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 will be providing military honors.
