Lawrence F. Fillers, 89, of Johnson City, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Appalachian Christian Village. He was a native Washington County, son of the late Robert and Willie Mae White Fillers. Lawrence was a retired supervisor for Snap-on-Tools. He was a member of the Inter-Continental Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary June Godsey Fillers in 1999; a brother, Vernon Fillers; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Clara Fillers. Survivors include: a sister, Shirley Street, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Fillers; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Fillers, Bryan and Vickie Fillers; a daughter, Patricia Boyd; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Mosier and her husband, Jerry, Susan Bolton, John Boyd, Amy Mann, Adam Fillers and his wife, Conni, Andrew Fillers and his wife, Jennifer, Sandra Fillers; nine great grandchildren, Ashley Wright, Kayla Mosier, Lindsay Mosier, Nicholas Mann, Brandon Mann, Thomas Fillers, Shyleigh Lawson, Logan Pint (step great-grandson) and Wyatt Fillers; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, February 3, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. in the South Chapel, under the direction of Rev. Paul Crowe. A committal service will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Bob, Bryan, Jimmy, Roger, Jerome and Andrew Fillers. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to: the caregivers, staff and all who helped with Mr. Fillers care at the Appalachian Christian Village and also the staff of the Johnson City Medical Center.
