Lena B. Bowers Brockwell

Lena B. Bowers Brockwell, age 91, formerly of 209 Poplar Hill Drive, Johnson City died Monday, February 6, 2006 at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. The daughter of the late Lola Berry Bowers and Samuel Murray Bowers, Mrs. Brockwell was born in Carter County but had lived all of her life in Johnson City. Mrs. Brockwell was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church and had been a homemaker and an Avon representative. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brockwell was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Brockwell, four brothers, two sisters and one son, Johnny Hagy. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Musick and one son, Benny Hagy both of Johnson City; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Brockwell will be Saturday, Feb. 11th at 11:00 AM at Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Rev. Curtis Hurt and Rev. Talmadge Brown will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bowers Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 Pm Friday.
