Lennis Sheffield Ferguson

Lennis Sheffield Ferguson, 92, 1701 Fairway Drive, Johnson City, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Glade Springs, Virginia and had lived in Johnson City since 1954. She was the daughter of the late M.D. and Mae Sayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband A.B. Ferguson, one son, Al Ferguson and six siblings. Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker and a member of Westerly Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include: one sister, Carrie Sheffield Johnson, of Bristol, Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Vickie Fortner Ferguson, of Johnson City; two grandsons, Al Ferguson and his wife Lee Ann, of Richmond, Virginia and Randal Ferguson and his wife Larissa, of Johnson City; one granddaughter, Julie Ferguson of Johnson City; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Lennis Sheffield Ferguson will be conducted at 2 PM Friday, December 29, 2006 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pastor Michael Woodward will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Friday prior to the service. Everyone will meet at the cemetery.
