Leonard C. Yates

Mr. Leonard C. 'Rowdy'? Yates, age 52, of Erwin, died Monday, January 27, 2014. Leonard was a High Point, NC native and the son of Leonard Eugene and Rose Randolph Yates. Leonard graduated from David Crockett High School. He served in the US Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, Leonard is survived by: his wife of 27 years, Rhonda Patterson Yates; three sisters, Robin Hyder, Lisa Frazier, and Amanda Leonard; five nieces and nephews, Caleb Frazier, Delilah Greer, Julia Leonard, Deidra Leonard, and Jackson Leonard; and his beloved dog, Boo. Leonard, and his wife Rhonda, own the Mountain View Bakery in Chuckey where he also worked as a delivery driver. The family of Leonard 'Rowdy'? Yates will receive friends from 5 to 6 PM Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM. Rev. Caleb Frazier and Mike Hyder, Minister will officiate. The Boone Dam VFW will accord military honors.
