Lesa Kay (Graybeal) Whittamore, 66, died at her home surrounded by family on Sunday evening October 15th, 2023, following an extensive battle with lung disease.
She was born on June 5th, 1957 in Johnson City, TN to the late B.H. and Mary Nell Street Graybeal. Lesa was a 1975 graduate of Daniel Boone High School, where she was a member of the National Champion Boonettes Drill Team. After attending Steed College, she was employed by the Washington County, TN Board of Education and later served as the Purchasing Agent for Washington County. A member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, she enjoyed singing, gardening, antiques, crafts, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Whittamore; daughter, Ashleigh Timchenko; son, Nolan Gray, of Norman, Oklahoma; sister, Linda Robinson; and granddaughters, Acelyn Jayde Myers of Oklahoma, and “The Cubs”, Evelina Grace and Colette Soleil Timchenko; along with her beloved guard dog, Logan.
Despite numerous health challenges, she radiated an undeniable strength and determination. With an infectious warmth that lit up every room, Lesa lived her life as though she had never met a stranger. Her innate ability to make everyone in her presence feel both welcome and uniquely special was unmatched. She possessed an unshakeable love for laughter, always uncovering humor in every situation no matter how challenging it appeared. But above all, her heart was fullest when her home brimmed with love, surrounded by all her “little chickens”. Lesa’s effervescent spirit and vibrant love will be deeply missed, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
