Lester B. Shaw of Butler, TN was surrounded by his loving family when called from this life on December 24, 2014. Mr. Shaw was born in Dante, VA. and the son of the late James and Queen Shaw. A loving husband, father, grandfather and patriot who served his nation during the Second World War in the United States Army Infantry, the Korean conflict as an Airborne Ranger, and the Vietnam conflict with the United States Air Force. Post military employment consisted of being the Chief Deputy for the Johnson County Sheriffs Department and working at Mountain View Exxon. He is survived by his loving wife Teruko, his son Colonel Anthony Shaw and wife Debi, grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth and Sarah, nephews, Roger Shaw and wife Barbara, Steve Shaw and wife Faye, nieces Sue Judd, Joette Nelson, and Sharon Shaw. He was preceded in death by his daughter Leslie, his sister Hope and brothers B.J. and Roy Shaw. Mr. Shaw was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family of Lester B. Shaw will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2014, in the Morris-Baker Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Pastor Frank Johnson officiating. The graveside committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Roger Shaw, Steve Shaw, Michael Shaw, Jason Shaw, and Anthony Shaw. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Cress, Harold Garland, Jim Tester, Edward Stansberry, Gene Hackney and James Mayfield. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors.
