Mrs. Leveda M. Peters, 69, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Peters was a native of Salina, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late John G. and Hermenia Younger Waldschmidt. Mrs. Peters retired from Tennessee Plastics in 1995. In addition to her parents, her husband, Conley H. Peters, Sr. and a grandson, Adam Bentley, preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daughter, Kathleen Bennett; one son, Danny Arney and his wife Carol; one step-daughter, Mary Brummett; one step-son, Conley H. Peters, Jr.; two sisters, Bernita Powell and Janet Burch; three brothers, John Waldschmidt, Beanard Waldschmidt and Donald Waldschmidt; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; many lifelong friends. The family of Leveda M. Peters will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM, Monday, November 24, 2014, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Jackie Cole officiating. The entombment service will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearer will be Gerald McInturff.
