Lexie Helen Nelson

Lexie Helen Sprinkle Nelson, 93, of Johnson City died Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Cornerstone Health Care. She was a native of Washington County, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Jane Hamilton Sprinkle. Lexie was a member of the Jonesborough Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, her husband G. B. Nelson preceded her in death in 1999; a son, Jerry Nelson in 2006; two sisters, Grace Barker and Deatta Hyatt; a brother, Charles Sprinkle also. Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Diane Nelson of Johnson City; two grandsons, Bret Nelson (wife Kari) of Asheville, NC, Nick Nelson of Morehead City, NC; a granddaughter, Kris Nelson Price of Asheville, NC; two great grandchildren, Macie and Madison Price of Asheville, NC; several nieces and nephews also her special caregiver, Patricia L. Blair. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in the Oak Chapel. A funeral service is to be held at 2:00 pm. A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park, all under the direction of Garland James. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Jonesborough United Methodist Church, 211 W. Main Street, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
