Lillie Jo 'Sally'? Hale McDonald, 90, previously of Johnson City, TN and Augusta, GA, passed away peacefully the morning of April 21, 2014. She suffered from Alzheimers disease for several years. Born in Benton, TN in 1924, Sally was one of 11 children. She was the last surviving sibling of her family until her death. Sally is survived by three children: Ellen Prescott, of Mebane, NC; Sue McDonald, of Canton, GA; and William McDonald (Debra), of Palm Desert, CA. Sally had one grandchild, David Prescott (Amanda), of Durham, NC. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews. The family of Sally McDonald will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City, TN. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at Morris-Baker. Interment will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park. A memorial service will also be conducted in Augusta, GA at a later date.
