Linda Marie Wheat

Linda Marie Wheat, 67, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on Thursday, September 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born into the home of William and Eva Garner Horn in California.

She was a fun, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, and friend. To know her was to love her, she will be dearly missed.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, William Horn.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include: her loving husband of 43 years, David Wheat; one son, Michael (Marcella) Wheat; one daughter, Nicole Brody; mother, Eva Horn; one brother, John Horn; one sister, Debbie Atkins; five grandchildren, Allyssa, Eric, Amanda, Hailey, and Dawson; one great-grandchild, Kyla; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve (Tanya) Wheat; extended family and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held from 12:00 to 1:00pm following the visitation service.

A committal service will be held at 2:00pm at Fairview Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50pm.
