Linda Sue Oler, 77, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on January 22, 2025.
We will all miss her outgoing personality, feisty spirit, and humorous anecdotes.
Sue was an ardent believer in Jesus Christ. She loved singing and playing Gospel songs. She also loved reading the Bible.
Sue is preceded in death by: her father, Gordon Turpin; her mother, Amanda Turpin; and two grandchildren, Jared Oler and Ashley Bradstreet.
Those remaining to cherish her memory include: her husband of 62 years, Phillip Oler, one daughter, Susan (David) Boyd; two sons, Jeff (Angie) Oler and Jay (Briana) Oler; one sister, Martha Clark; one brother, Willis Taylor; five grandchildren, Alora Wyatt (Nick), Amanda Oler-Manning (Daniel), David Boyd, John Oler, and Seth Bradstreet; several great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family and friends.
Sue requested her memory to be honored with donations to Samaritan’s Purse International Relief.
Sue’s life will be celebrated with a visitation for family and friends from 2:00 pm till 3:00 pm on Sunday January 26, 2025 in the Oak Hall of Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation at 3:00 pm.
A committal service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at the Historic Section in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to please meet at the cemetery no later than 9:50 am.
